Basketball Coach Level 1
This is the basic level of award in coaching basketball for those with little or no knowledge of basketball and is suitable for those coaches wishing to work alongside more qualified coaches in a club or school environment This 2 day course will provide candidates with enough knowledge to deliver sessions under supervision. Candidates must be 16 or older.
Basketball Coach Level 2 This is the first level of coaching award that coaches need to coach without supervision. If you are aged 18 and over and have a Level 1 Basketball Coach Award and would like to improve your coaching skills, or embark on a career as a Basketball Coach then the BE Level 2 Basketball Coach Course is perfect for you. This 4 day course provides candidates with all the knowledge they require to coach a club / school team in training and games. The BE Level 2 Coach qualification gives candidates the skill base and confidence to deliver coaching sessions.
BBall Activators Award
This is an introductory level qualification designed to empower candidates with the skills, drills and basic technical knowledge to deliver recreational/social basketball. The 6-hour course will provide any interested individual with a start in delivering basketball.
Referee Level 1
This award is an introduction to basketball and is aimed at the pure beginner. The 4-hour course gives an insight into the basic mechanics of refereeing and the violations and fouls that need to be administered. A Level 1 referee is qualified to officiate at school matches, youth local leagues and at recreational level.
Referee Level 2
The Level 2 award is aimed at the beginner (experience as a player or attending a Level 1 course is an advantage). The 14-hour course provides candidates with knowledge of the full rules of basketball and practical experience in refereeing games. A Level 2 referee is qualified to officiate at junior national league, local league and up to Division 4 Men and Division 2 Women senior national league level.
Table Official Level 1
This award is an introduction to basketball and is aimed at the pure beginner. The 2-hour course gives an insight into the basic work of a timekeeper and scorer at a basketball game. A Level 1 table official is qualified to officiate at school matches, youth local leagues and at recreational level.
Table Official Level 2
This award is aimed at individuals wishing to progress as a table official and possibly interested in doing senior national league games. The 4-hour course provides deeper knowledge of the roles of the timekeeper and scorer. Experienced Level 2 table officials can officiate at senior national league level.
